Special prayers at a holy Rabbi’s tomb in the Ukraine!

Thank G-d spirituality is in the air this month! Thousands are filling the Western Wall plaza daily from all walks of life and places, trying to connect, forgive, be forgiven and merit goodness.

It is a time to re-focus, re-sensitize, and let go of that which is holding us back from true connection with the Lord. I met a friend of mine the other day and was so happy to see such a beautiful change in her – many years of stress seemed to have fallen off her face. She said, “I just came back from Rebbe Nachman’s tomb in Uman. Everyone keeps telling me how beautiful I look since then.” It made me want to go myself :-).

But as I don’t have that luxury this Rosh Hashanah – I decided to send a biblical scholar to pray for me instead. You can too! We are sending a few of our Jerusalem bible students to the tomb in Uman, Ukraine to say the special Tikun HaKlali mystical prayer (10 specific psalms said in a certain order) specifically for each prayer request on the day before the Jewish New Year.

Jewish sources say that when a righteous person dies, s/he has merits in the upper worlds that s/he can use to help those in this world. Some of these righteous people, before their deaths, declare publicly that they will help people in certain ways if one comes to their tomb to pray. They use their merits to influence the Lord’s judgment on our behalf, just as Moses did on behalf of the Israelites during these same 40 days.

One particularly righteous person – Rabbi Nachman of Breslov – declared before his death that he had extra abilities to help people who come to his tomb on the day before Rosh Hashanah and recite the entire Tikun Haklali (10 specific psalms said in a mystically-significant order). He is buried in the small town of Uman, Ukraine.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity!

Last chance to get your prayers in! (before Shira gives birth please G-d!)

It’s very exciting and nerve-wracking to some extent to know that judgment will be passed for the entire world in just a few weeks.

What do you want this year to look like?
Who do you want to be?
What do you want to happen? For you? Family? A friend?

This is your chance to have us beg the Lord for you at the place where all prayer goes up!!! (If you haven’t already signed up, that is.)

May all of our prayers be quickly answered!

With great love and blessings for a beautiful year ahead for you and with hopes that Shira holds on long enough to get your prayers to the Wall in time :-).

Blessings,

Lisa

The most important 40 days of prayer in the year are NOW!!

Shalom,

Thank G-d I am happy to be writing you from a peaceful Jerusalem despite the plans of our enemies – may we continue to be protected!

Congratulations to ‘Sara’ who started dating her husband on the first day her prayer agent went to the Wall, to ‘Benji’ who got a job on day 37 at the Wall, to ‘Betty’ who gave birth to a healthy baby after our prayers and to ‘Vicky’ whose husband’s court case was incredibly successful. Keep sending in your stories! We love hearing them and we feel a special privilege to be part of the most sensitive aspects of your lives.

Well…it’s almost Elul (the Jewish month in which Moses climbed Mt. Sinai to receive the tablets). 30 days later is known as Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) but spiritually, it is actually the Judgment Day for the entire world. (It is also the day that Adam and Eve were created.) 10 days later (40 in total) is Yom Kippur – otherwise known as the day of atonement – and the anniversary of Moses descending Mt. Sinai with the tablets in hand. On Rosh Hashanah, life starts again and it is decided what will happen to every nation and every person for an entire year.

Who will live and who will die, who will gain wealth and who will lose wealth, who will be healthy and who will be sick, who will get married and who will be single. Anything can happen…..

The future is ours to create, the regrets of the past are ours to erase. There’s strength in numbers and in partnerships and we can help each other to be more successful!

There is a very special power to praying these 40 days from Elul to Yom Kippur. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to have a pious person pray for you at the Wailing Wall!

What will be – only the Lord knows. But what can be depends largely on the efforts you put forth towards it.

Reserve your spot at the Wall NOW!

May the Lord bless us to be the conduit through which your prayers are soon answered!

Lisa Burd and Your Wailing Wall Prayer Family

Where are we now?

Shalom friends and extended Wailing Wall Prayer Family,

It has been over 8 months since Greg, of blessed memory, passed away. From before Passover until now feels like 5 months in and of itself. Passover is truly the holiday of transformation. I feel like our family and especially me personally, have traveled many oceans and lands since then and have arrived on a temporary island called ‘here’. It is quiet. Serene. Uncomplicated. Focused. Different plants grow here and the waters are a strange but pleasant color. We are getting used to the closeness yet alien feeling of being ‘here’.

As I look back I remember some of the things that got me ‘here’. Before this all happened, I had the need to go in search of myself this summer. I realized that I needed to come closer to who I really was. In order to do that I needed to start writing and talking. I had no idea about what; I just realized that my higher purpose was to inspire people. I started a blog, I had plans to start an online radio advice line and I started putting the word out that I was available for speaking engagements. I had no idea what I was going to talk about I just knew that I felt alive when I helped others to reach higher places.

And then ‘IT’ happened. The IT that pummeled my world as I knew it. The IT that couldn’t have thrown me farther off guard.

And I started speaking. I spoke during the 7 day mourning period for hours and hours on end. There were barely any other immediate family members present, so I had the stage ironically. And I kept speaking. I spoke until 3 am the last day and asked for more time. Then I started writing. The blog was right here in front of me waiting. The stage had been set, the mike already prepped, the audience just waiting for a word.

The bitter irony. I found out what I was going to be speaking about.

Someone special told me that I was Greg’s midwife to the afterlife. I was there for his soul to be born into the world of souls. Likewise, he too helped me to be born into my new world ahead – whatever that may be.
So far it is a world where I have fallen deeper in love with my kids, where I have expanded far beyond my comfort and imagined-possible zones to take up the emptied space, and where I have learned that the act of giving especially applies to oneself.

With love from Jerusalem,
Lisa

Special Prayers at Rebbe Nachman’s Tomb in the Ukraine!

flame

I am writing to you from the holy Old City after just having visited
the Wall. What an amazing experience it always is to feel so close
and so peaceful. This time of year, before the Jewish New Year of
Rosh Hashanah, is especially powerful here. Every moment and incident
is a gentle, yet clear message from Above to correct and to guide us
into a better and more aligned New Year.

Of course, our job here is to use every possible spiritual resource
available to help you in your goals. So, we have decided once again
to send our prayer agents to Rebbe Nachman’s tomb (kever) in Uman,
Ukraine on the day before (Erev) Rosh Hashanah.
Jewish sources say that when a righteous person dies, s/he has merits
in the upper worlds that s/he can use to help those in this world.
Some of these righteous people, before their deaths, declare publicly
that they will help people in certain ways if one comes to their tomb
to pray. They use their merits to influence the Lord’s judgment on
our behalf, just as Moses did on behalf of the Israelites during
these same 40 days.

One particularly righteous person – Rabbi Nachman of Breslov –
declared before his death that he had extra abilities to help people
who come to his tomb on the day before Rosh Hashanah and recite the
entire Tikun Haklali (10 specific psalms said in a specific
mystically-significant order). He is buried in the small town of
Uman, Ukraine.

Based on the results of so many prayers there, thousands of people
make the pilgrimage to this spiritual place every year. This year,
some of our Biblical scholars are traveling there and each has
offered to say the entire Tikun Haklali at the Rabbi’s tomb on the
day before the Jewish New Year (September 5th), exclusively for your
prayer request. This means that they will say just your prayer
request, then the entire 10 psalms, so that your prayer gets the full
attention it deserves.

It is an opportunity that Shira and I are personally excited to
access ourselves.

A modest $36 donation is requested in return, to help cover the costs
of the trip to the Ukraine.

Tell your friends!

Pray for Me at the Holy Rabbi’s Tomb in Uman!

With blessings from Jerusalem for health, happiness, fulfillment and
abundance in all things good,

Lisa
